The Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis (RAC) serves as the leading public funder and advocate for the arts in the region. Working in collaboration with Cannonball, we set out to modernize RAC’s digital presence and better represent its role as a cultural connector. The new website needed to reflect the breadth of RAC’s work—from funding and public art initiatives to community programs—while remaining easy to manage internally.
The Challenge
RAC’s existing website lacked flexibility and was difficult for staff to update or expand.
- Inflexible, hard-to-update website, making it difficult for RAC staff to manage and grow content.
- Hundreds of pages spread across outdated templates and plugins, with no consistent structure for key content types.
- Limited accessibility, mobile performance, and content governance, including calendars, permissions, and overall usability.
The Solution
TPI developed the new website on WordPress to deliver a flexible, easy-to-maintain CMS.
- Rebuilt the site on WordPress to provide a flexible, easy-to-maintain CMS for RAC staff.
- Redesigned the experience to better reflect RAC’s brand and role in the community.
- Created reusable templates and content blocks for modular, consistent page and content management.
- Integrated calendar, blog, accessibility, and analytics tools and migrated 170+ pages into a unified platform for a smoother experience.
The Results
The result was a dynamic, scalable website that gave RAC full control over its digital content. Staff could easily publish new projects, events, and grant information without technical assistance, while visitors enjoyed faster load times and improved accessibility. The site established a sustainable foundation for RAC’s future digital initiatives.
