Featured Project: HD Burke Website Redesign

It’s always exciting to refresh a website to breathe some new life into it. Earlier this year, TPI gave HD Burke a fresh website redesign. We launched the original website in 2016, but by 2022 it was time to realign the website with an evolved internet and company. Our aim was to provide an updated design consistent with modern standards, and improve the overall user experience and site performance.

About the Client – HD Burke

HD Burke provides a wide range of services for sourcing custom engineered components. Having started their journey over 75 years ago in 1945, they are experts at providing a top-notch sourcing experience. By representing class-leading US manufacturers, HD Burke is known for offering dependable and trustworthy supply chain partners to assist their clients with no limitations.

Before the Website Makeover

Users visit HD Burke’s website to inquire about manufacturing capabilities and services. Armed with data gathered from Google Analytics, and a greater understanding of past user behavior on the site, we were able to determine that some content reorganization and a redesigned user interface could provide both a better user experience as well as better search engine rankings.

How TPI Approached the Website Redesign

Laying out multiple style-scapes provided us with a variety of approaches to the website redesign. After multiple concepts and collaboration with the client, one homepage design emerged as the obvious choice. The page content and visuals clearly communicated what HD Burke has to offer, and clear calls to actions provided better user engagement.

The homepage set the baseline for how the rest of the website would be designed. We then made a mockup template for the interior pages to clearly display the services HD Burke offers when it comes to help with sourcing needs.

Following a Process for a Successful Relaunch

This redesign was led by our UI/UX Web Designer, Michael, and followed our design and development process:

  • Discovery
  • Design
  • Develop
  • Launch

These steps allow us to work effectively and efficiently, but they also allow us the flexibility to adjust and iterate through the process as needed — backing up and addressing changes as-needed.

The Final Website Revamp Result

We are proud of what we consider to be a successful website redesign. The client was excited about the new look and functionality of the website, and we’ve been able to monitor the site and make adjustments to continue to improve performance.
