“I have always been an animal lover and have a special place in my heart for cats. A friend of mine started a cat rescue in 2021 called Smelly Cat Rescue and I couldn’t wait to help out. I now serve as the Vice President and help with day-to-day operations, adoptions, and fundraising as well as fostering any number of cats and kittens looking for their forever homes. The work can be tough and heartbreaking at times, but it’s also the most rewarding thing to see a cat find their forever family and know you helped them get there.”

“No one is coming to save you. That’s not to say you can’t expect anyone to help with anything, but for me, its about being self-reliant. Finding your own answers to things and learning how to execute on your own. I once heard that the greatest gap in the world is between knowing and doing and that stuck with me. So now I try to do my best to learn whenever I can and put that knowledge into practice as much as possible.”
