For true, this will annoy him. He’ll get you back though by putting spaces on either side of an emdash. SIEM-SEN!

Yes, I am humorless about this! Enough with the double-spaces!!! Typing instructors are not typesetters. In the days of mechanical typewriters with monospaced letterforms, two spaces after a period marginally helped legibility in what was, by necessity, a god-awful looking format. With those days behind us, I suggest that all you typing instructors out there go take a look at any professionally published book, magazine or website and see how many double-spaces you can find. (Big gaps caused by forced column-justification don’t count.) In the words of Howard Dean… aaauauuaaghghghH!!!

I was taught that way too. But, I also learned to type on a manual typewriter! I’m a dinosaur, but so is SIEM-SEN

I do that to. I think its something I learned in typing class. See? I still do it.

They actually taught me to do it that way in school. Then as soon as I started working, I got reamed for it. I say we bring it back.
