web development: best left to the pros?
Our tireless sales team spends a lot of their time drafting proposals for prospective clients. Every so often we get a response from someone with sticker shock along the lines of "But I could hire so-and-so to make me a website for (insert monetary value along the lines of "peanuts")!" Our go-to reply to this inevitable quandary is the tried and true, "Yes...but you get what you pay for."
Case in point:
We got an SOS call a while back from a (panicked) client. They were up against a stiff deadline, and to make some room in an understandably tight budget had contracted a bit of web development work with a freelancer.
As the deadline began to loom very, very large on the horizon and a major objective (or two) remained unmet, bargain freelance designer/developer became less and less available and come D-Day, was completely off the grid. In the midst of a problem of such "hair-on-fire" magnitude, TPI was called in to extinguish the flames.
Always more than happy to assist, we set about diagnosing the issue and untangling the mess made by a freelancer with limited expertise and zero accountability.
Of course, the worst-case scenario doesn't always play out, but when it's your business's reputation on the line, are you willing to roll the dice? We figure life is stressful enough. Leave the technical stuff to us. Your sanity will thank you :)
Aw, you
shouldn't have...
I speak for both Angela and myself when I express how excited we are about the new site and its capabilities! Everyone here is buzzing about how great it is... It is everything we hoped it could be! (And it's pretty too!)
