case study - ICS
ICS is a company that provides advanced software solutions for wholesale distributors, manufacturers, warehouses and construction firms through three branded software solutions: Logimax, Equential and RF-SMART. As a big player in a relatively niche industry, ICS recognized that there was considerable opportunity for them to expand their client base by generating a greater amount of targeted traffic to their sites. To accomplish this goal, they came to us.
Together with TPI, ICS decided to focus primarily on Logimax and RF-SMART at the outset of the project. Since both sites were already built and well-established on the web, our online marketing specialist decided the best course of action was to conduct competitive keyword research for each brand and create a number of additional pages for each site using select keyword phrases.
Written as informational articles incorporating nearly 70 keyword phrases, a total of 33 SEO pages were written and added to the RF-SMART and Logimax sites - 22 and 11 pages respectively. As of March 2009, site visits and page views for RF-SMART alone have increased by more than 50%. Additionally, RF-SMART now appears more than 360 times in the top 10 search results of major search engines for the phrases it was optimized for.
Encouraged by the overwhelming success of this venture, ICS has since hired TPI to rethink and rebuild all of their sites from the ground up. Though almost all sites can benefit from strategic search engine optimization at any stage of development, results often reach heights not possible when SEO is treated more as an afterthought than a priority.
