Interactive Marketing Assistant

You: You are an innovative, enthusiastic and creative thinker that approves friend requests based on Klout score, is in the running for mayor of every Starbucks within a one-mile radius and frequently catches themselves speaking in 140 character snippets. You pride yourself on always being one-step ahead of the next big thing and have a close personal relationship with the Google algorithm and/or Mark Zuckerberg. Specifically, you're looking to work your magic in a fun, fast-paced team environment that does not require you to wear a hairnet or protective body gear - usually.

We: Are a St. Charles-based, interactive agency in the habit of being generally awesome. We wear jeans, we tell borderline inappropriate jokes and we churn out consistently great work for our clients. Speaking of clients, we work with a huge range of individuals and organizations on everything from software development for kiosks, to robust web applications, custom content management and much more.

Requirements: 

  • Must have strong creative problem solving skills
  • Must be able to compose properly punctuated, complete sentences
  • Must be a good communicator and a great people-person
  • Must be web savvy, and regularly involved in social media from a consumer standpoint
  • Must be organized and punctual... the work we do is deadline driven

  • Must not hate Facebook, in fact you should love it

The Job:

  • Show initiative! We want to look to you to bring creative ideas to the table that will help advance our clients' fan base and reach across the social media landscape.
  • Ability to independently manage and contribute to one or more social media campaigns/profiles
  • Interest in exploring SEO strategies and copywriting
  • Build media lists, draft persuasive pitches to support various social media/OLM campaigns and conduct basic blog outreach
  • Prepare routine social media analytics reports for one or more profiles
  • Help draft original content for one or more social media profiles
  • Be generally awesome on a daily basis

Bonus Skills:

  • Be great with data... look at web analytics data and spot trends and anomalies... suggest action based on that data
  • Some familiarity with web development including HTML and CSS
  • Ability to use PhotoShop and handle basic photo-editing tasks
  • Familiarity with FTP and other commonly used web protocols
